Execellet hotel EXCEPT THE LADY AT FRONT DESK
Cleanliness, 5-10min walk to myeongdong and to airport bus station, aimee of front desk very nice, warm, helpful and always smiling. All perfect except for the rude front desk personnel

SUE of front desk, not sure if SUE is her name but she is assigned with Ms. Aimee during daytime, she is very rude, arrogant, not smiling and not accommodating, my stay was unforgetable bec of her bad work attitude, which unfortunately leaves a bad impression about the hotel. I often visit seoul and my 1st time to encounter an unfriendly hotelier, considering dears hotel charge higher than other 3star hotel. I booked this hotel bec of its "fabulous" reviews, but not at front desk. First impressions count, and what happens at the front desk can influence the entire guest experience. The guy who also visit my room to assist with lighting switch was also very rude, but tolerable... Accessibility to airport limousine bus may not be good when it is raining No available breakfast even willing to pay

What was the highlight of Dears Myeongdong
Great stay, loved the place. Would definitely come back.
The place was very clean and strategically located close to the subway station and within walking distance to myeongdong. There is a free laundry, sitting lounge area and a nice breakfast station all provided by the accomodation.
The room was a bit dark for my liking . Even when all the lights are turned on , the room was still dark as all the lights were yellow coloured.

Myeongdong hotel gem
I've travelled to Seoul for a week and wanted to make my trip as comfortable as possible. I didn’t expect it to be this good. The facilities are incredible, my room was on the 10th floor and the view was amazing. If you want to have even a better view on Namsan tower you can go to the rooftop terrace. Location is great, 3 minutes away from Chungmuro subways station, 10 minutes from Myeongdong station. A walkable distance to Namsan cable car and to the Namsan park and hanok village. Quiet neighbourhood, never slept this peacefully in my life. The room service was great as well, you can press the button to request the room service or you can press the button do not disturb and would not be bothered. Room and bathroom was spotlessly clean and they even give you like small necessities: vanity kit, comb, shaving kit, dental kit, nice genture for those who might have forgotten to bring some of this. My room had a microwave, a kettle and a fridge. There is also a kitchen on the ground floor that you can use if needed and a laundry room, which I couldn't use cause I had no time for laundry - too busy exploring Seoul. But definitely it's a great bonus for you if you stay longer than 10 days. Lots of convenience stores nearby, so even if you're hungry at 3 am it's not a problem. At reception you can ask to order you a taxi or a take out and the hotel staff will gladly do that. Amazing hotel, will definitely book it again for my next trip to Seoul.
The only problem (which I don't really wanna lable it like that) is that not a lot of staff members at the reception spoke English. However, it wasn’t that big of a deal, cause I was prepared and do recommend doing the same - download Papago translation app. It will not only help you to communicate at the hotel but for your trip to Korea in general.
